If I won't talk
then I choose the non-spoken

letting life be
not mumbling about what is or isn't

The still-word will die
and I'll die holding it in

Mine is the choice
and I will die staying the course

*Reflections of Jean Sulivan:

-Societies, like individuals, live in a state of divorce from the earth, forgetting that its roots are also theirs.  The pollution that is the result of this divorce is the symptom of spiritual asphyxia.  Hold-ups, taking hostages, and all kinds of graft are only the most visible expressions of an insatiable greed.

-The need to exist qualitatively is not what moves most people but the desire to own and accumulate.  There is a conspiracy to convince them that only quantity brings happiness.  Television, advertising, and journalism aim above all at quantity, even books and ideas, like  other products of our consumer society, have to submit to the prince of this world - money.

-For a long time technology was only applied to our environment and to objects contributing to our material well-being.  Now science and technology act together directly on our reflexes and thought-patterns, exploiting whatever is mechanical in our thinking, at the expense of our secret experience, the intelligence of the heart, and ultimately of liberty.
