waiting for you to laugh
wanting you to laugh with the roar of abandon

to catch the sprites dancing springtime
turning cartwheels across your face
to witness the zebra's stripes giggling
while hyenas attentively pause to applaud
o what pleasure it would be to savor
to hear you laughing above the storm
