his father's still about-

disturbing, violent, present

...and boards be used to tame him

to knock sense into his head

when non-sense is what's a-riot

i am not this man for him

i am stranger 

and stranger more than dad

i'm someone's wish for him

a manipulated god to hold him together

while life falls apart, is breaking

but i must cut our chain

while he searches for his strength

for he will call soon enough, I know

and he'll find himself in his weakness

and me in his need
